I have been mowing and cleaning weeds from around the jabuticaba trees which are near our apartments. With the week vacation and the lack of a full time maintenance man, some of the areas have been neglected. I am trying to work outward from the main buildings and beautify as much as possible
The trees have an interesting whitish bark. That is were the little grape sized fruits will start appearing. I´ve heard soon or in November so don´t know if I will see them grow. Wem says the trees are quite sensitive and he doesn´t think we should plant impatients under the trees as the flowers will compete with the trees for nutrients an water.
We are going for a walk to try to find the elusive big blue butterfly. Hope to have pictures, but today is cloudy and grey.
