The rebuild and reroof job are on a two story house just to the right (west) of the main classroom building. They have removed the old, essentially flat roof structure, and are replacing with a pitched roof with hot air space which will make the upper rooms much more comfortable in the summer. Wem says the shiny layer visible on the roof right now is an aluminum sheeting that is supposed to reflect the heat back up into the red tile shingles that will be applied next. The size of the building can be judged by the guy on the roof who is carrying some red tiles to begin the shingling job at the far left corner. The reddish triangular area to the right side is the buildup of the front and back ends of the house to allow for the pitched roof. This was essentially flat before they removed the old roof.
