There are three, tall, gangly dahlias in the garden east of the cafeteria. I am working to improve the garden, as it is primarily grass and weeds with a few surprise lilies and a row of small bushy flowers with x-shaped red or yellow flowers. I´ve split the surprise lilies and transplanted some other large bulbs with large leaves to the area and hope to find something else to fill in the empty spaces. Sara says Wem´s grandmother in Belo had a ground cover that kept everything else from growing and provided a carpet like background. Would like to find some of it and get it started in this bed.
Don´t know what type of palm it is. Will have to ask Anna.
