Bob Moffit is in the black T and has the white hair. Sara, Ron and Carol. The gentleman in back left was the translator from English to Portuguese and did an excellent job.
We attended 2 of the evening lecture/audience participation sections. Wemerson was the gopher who set up the event, picked up from the airport and delivered Bob to his hotel each day. They had morning sessions with a limit of 80 people and those were usually attended by 60. They did small study groups. The evening sessions were open and usually attended by 150.
Can you tell which ones are ours?? Hint: hair color!!
The Thursday evening session was on the mathematics of the Bible.
The handout literature and the promotional signage used the professorial hat and monocle.
The Saturday noon luncheon was planned for about 100, but 150 appeared, so we had to readjust the seating setup. The couple to the left were at MTC four years ago and when he graduated they went back to Venezulea, but it was so unsettled that they moved back to Montes and both have jobs. He is quite concerned about the next few months in Venezuela since Chavez died. The lad in the middle was a son of the leaders at MTC at the same time. He now lives in Montes in an apartment with his twin brother. His parents, Cornelius and Marisette, are pastoring in a small poor community about 2 hours north of Montes.
Sara knows a lot of the church members of this Presbyterian church which is quite progress and active in the community. The church pews have been bunched to the back of the church and the smaller sections have been used for seating at the luncheon along with tables and additional chairs.
Wemerson and Carol are enjoying some ice cream for dessert. He is just about to return to a normal schedule after being totally immersed in the event since last Tuesday.
A final shot of Bob with Jasiel and Daniellie (holding someone elses baby). I forgot the gentlemans name to the left. Jasiel and Danny graduated in the same class as Sara and Wem and they are very close friends. They are working in a town about an hour to the North. Danny teaches English and Jasiel is involved with a church.
Bob lives in Phoenix and travels extensively. His hobby is raising a green garden in his back yard in Phoenix. Yes, his water bill is high. Google him if you want more info. He is dynamic in a quiet, easy to understand approach.
