1) There really is a sleeping lion to the left and up - in the grass at the base of the tree. The big cats
were all asleep or hiding. We did see the gorilla who was so impressed with us that he got up and walked away which gave us a good view of his naked butt!!
2) Max was our tour guide and as in Dora the Explorer he read the map and told us where to go. For a 4 year old he did an amazing job!! Of course the almost 2 year old had to be a guide, too. This was taken in the new Japanese garden right near the front gate. We were going to go to the new aquarium, but they charge extra admission and we were getting close to the crabby kid stage of the morning.
3) The giraffe is an obligation. No little baby this year. Darn.
4) The cactus garden has grown nicely since we saw it last. Carol, remember when the kids sat on the cement balls??
