Dr Robert Carlson was my professor/mentor at KU. He retires this year after 50 years of teaching at KU. To my knowledge, Dr and Bea have lived in the same house that whole time. He is best known for teaching undergraduates organic chemistry. Prof Givens relayed that his knee doc, dentist and chiropractor all asked him if he knew Dr Bob!! All of them had taken organic chem from Dr Bob!!
Dr will keep an office in the chem department for ?? years. He stopped taking grad students 5 years ago - which is department policy for professors reaching retirement age.
