American Beauties

The rose bush is just outside their kitchen window which is in the background. I like this dark red rose better than the pink one up by the cafeteria. Carol refreshed my memory on how Grandma Watson used to start roses, so I cut off a growing chunk and made sure I buried two trimmed nodes in soil-sand mixture. Since I haven´t seen any fruit jars I cut off some clear plastic 2 liter bottles and put them over the cuttings to act as a terrarium. We will see if anything grows in a couple of weeks.
