Just Stuff Mar 3,2013
Forgot to add this to the boys who HELP clean up by sliding and spinning in the water used to wash the paint from the tile patio at the entrance to the house. Such hard work.
The six hour wait at Confins airport to board the GOL flight to Montes was a little long and stressful. GOL gave us our boarding passes at 10am but would not take luggage until 2:30pm. We had to horse it around the airport all that time. I checked with information booth to see if there was a storage area, but it would have cost $10 USA per bag. Normally the elevator works and we could take the luggage up to the second or third floor where it is much quieter which makes napping much easier. But the elevator was broken. Finally two attendants at the info booth offered to push the two carts of luggage up the circular ramp system to the second floor where all flights depart. I am laying on the cooler end of the second floor. Carol had already had a good nap, so she snapped this.
The boys room with the white stars in relief (already on the walls when they moved in). The blue is da boys.
A metal cabinet door makes a good bulletin board.
If these dont show up good enough for understanding the subjects, let me know and I will full frame each page.
Will also get interpretations if someone wants further explanation.
Carol and I have been napping from lunch 12 noon til about 3pm as the mid days are really HOT. We have two fans in our bedroom to keep it tolerable.

Da Boys Day 1
A school project due Friday afternoon was for Lucas was to make a truck. They are painting it - red cab, blue box and black wheels.
A shoe box for the truck and a cardboard box for the cab with wheels make of rolled up black paper with circular inserts to make them all black.
A rubber band was more interesting than cutting the box for the cab!!
The hallway of the school which is about 5 blocks away and the walk is level with some challenging sidewalks that require walking in the street. In this picture the truck was already taken by an aide.
Da Boys.

Moto Mama!!
A look of apprehension or terror, as Sara dons her helmet in preparation for her first motorcycle ride!!!!!
Their car is still in the repair shop after someone T-boned Wem a couple of weeks ago. He was not hurt, but the driver door has to be replaced. Car was supposed to be ready today, but a door hinge problem required getting another door.
They are almost ready to depart for a Saturday morning church meeting. Grandma and Gramps are watching the boys who are watching cartoons.
And AWAY they go. If Sara was screaming, it was silently and inside her head!!! More later, as I want to see if this short post goes thru. I get upset when a long blog disappears!!

Snow "birds"
This is our living room with the luggage being assembled for our trip to Brasil Feb 27 thru Mar 15. We go a little further than Gary and Pat!! The feeders that follow are out the rock feature window, straight ahead.
Out our cathedral window we have two bird feeders which were jammed during the snow and ice storm.
A "close up" on the red feeder.
A cardinal waiting for the others to kick out some sunflower seeds.
Full house at the other feeder. They empty these almost daily when the weather gets bad. The lake side has been "slow" recently. Only a couple of ducks. No eagles, No Herons.

More of Larry's work
A request for merekats gave "rise" to mere cats!!
He is still working on a good design of the former kats.
Birds eye maple
A beaver doing a tail stand. Peruvian walnut
Buffalo or bison. Peruvian walnut
Elephants (no rhyme or reason for them to be 'standing')
Mahogany
Guinea pig. Mahogany

Larry's Puzzle and Animal Art
Carol's brother, Larry, has the same genetic back problems that she has. He spends time in short bursts making jig saw art works and workable puzzles. This is a STAR cut out of soft maple and then painted.
This is a wizard (who I can't get to stand up straight!!) made out of soft maple.
This is an apple with the teachers name on the stem and students names on the pieces with a couple not labeled in case new students arrive. It was given to his grandchild's class in Wichita area.
A tree frog made out of Amazonian Rosewood.
This shot was supposed to show the frog "standing" on front legs, but this frog can do a wall press and hold its body perpendicular to the wall!!!!!
