Parade time. Eldon Turkey Days Sept 25, 2010

The "crew" took up a spot in the shade near the Community Center

The Eldon Band was the biggest and the bestest.  The band director is on the 4 wheeler!!

Lee is marching and playing the tuba.  We thought that Ayden would be the most excited by the band, but baby Korbyn was the most energetic with both hands pounding on her stroller and a great big smile!!

The Playground before the party.

Ayden was the first to go across the monkey bars with a little help from dad.
Alec was next, but he only tried the last ring.  Ayden was there to "help".

Ava decided the slide was more her style.  Don't you like those green tennies??

Ayden's Gotcha Day and Aaron's Birthday (Sept 30)

Ayden is blowing out the candles on the cake that Grandma Pat made.  She had names on it for Ayden and Aaron but two unfortunate incidents "wiped'" of the names.  Gary is wearing the white t-shirt, Carol E is behind Ayden, Ava is in the green shirt just to the left of Ayden and Erin is in the background.  The picnic was held at the Rock Island park in Eldon just south and east of McDonalds.  The day was gorgeous and the picnic goodies were delish!!  Thanks to all.  Even the late season watermelon from Gary's garden was a special treat.
After food, a pinata was hung from the playground equipment and Ayden got the first swat.  All the youngsters got to take a couple of swats before it finally broke.

Finally the thingy spilled its goodies and then it was time to go to the Turkey Day parade.

Korbyn's First Birthday

Korbyn was put down for a nap with an empty house.  She was awakened to a noisy group of at least 50!!  Yes, she was a little hesitant at first, but then got into the swing of tearing some paper off of the presents.  Just a few to open as you can see in the background.
Mom, Ali, did most of the opening.  Sam is watching from the left side and Korbyn is in the middle looking on intently.
Ayden even got interested for a while and then went outside to jump on the trampoline.

Korbyn ate her cake and really revived with a sugar high!!

Happy Labor Day Sept 6, 2010

Don't have any pictures to share.  Forgot to take my camera on Saturday for Sweet Corn Days at Rocky Mount.  Went about 8am to volunteer, but nothing to do.  Hung around for a while and then saw that no one was sacking and hawking the bags of a dozen ears for $6 so spent the rest of the day (mainly 10:30 to 4) sacking up corn and collecting some money.  I had 17 large mesh bags emptied by the time it ended.  Each of these big bags held 5 dozen ears, so I know we sold at least 75 dozen -- make that 80, as one lady bought a bag of 5 dozen.  The event is quite spread out and "starts" at County Line Restaurant and goes to Uncle Sams.  They had craft, etc booths by the sports bar, the Lions club had bingo, a car show was at the vets and sweet corn was being sold roasted, fried, and ???  Hope they made some money for the fire department.

This morning we headed for Moffat Auction by Linn, MO.  It is 15 miles east of Jeff.  Got there about 9:15 for a 9:30 start.  Very big and pushy crowd on hand.  Lots of JUNK.  We only stayed an hour and then had to stop by Central Dairy in Jeff for Bear Claw ice cream on a regular cone.  LOTS of traffic headed toward Jeff on Hiway 54.  The strong wind must be chasing people off the lake early today.
